
Ledys Sanjuan Mejía
Ledys is an queer eco-feminist activist from Bogota, Colombia. She is dedicated to living in the “borderland” between social movements and philanthropy being an activist in her local community and leading grassroots work whilst also using her strategic comms and digital skills to advance feminist philanthropy.
Ledys has a passion for beautiful, secure and impactful communications for social justice that trigger changes and support social movements. During her career she has led digital activism campaigns for corporate accountability at SumOfUs.org. Ledys transitioned to building communications, advocacy and tech capacities at FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund for four years. With a background in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and a Masters of Arts in Critical Political Theory from the University of Exeter, Ledys has also had extensive experience in research, policy and copy editing.
As a vegetarian and animal rights activist, she spends a lot of time caring after her three cats and dog. When not doing awesome and rad comms work, Ledys is dedicated to building and sustaining queer communities in the centre of her city.
