Women’s funds come from the movements they serve and as such, have a long track record of knowing where and how to support organizations that are working to achieve gender justice in their communities, countries, and regions. Today, women’s funds are reaching women’s rights and feminist movements in some of the most challenging contexts and are at the leading edge of the most pressing human rights issues.
As a fund, this collaborative uses an ecosystem approach to resource and support the 44 autonomous women’s funds who are members of the Prospera INWF.
This five-year initiative is guided by a strategy focused on four interrelated outcomes:
Women’s funds have the resources, systems, and practices to respond to the needs of gender justice movements.
Women’s funds deepen connection and collaboration to co-create strategies that will sustain a resilient feminist funding ecosystem.
Women’s funds use their collective voice to influence the agenda and flow of resources to gender justice movements.
We will leverage our model to influence philanthropy to shift power and resources to gender justice movements.
