“The process of institutional strengthening ensures sustainability and resilience of any organization. This is also one of the most under-resourced areas of need, especially for feminist organizations and women’s funds.“
Anisha Chugh, Women’s Fund Asia
Women’s Fund Asia (WFA) works across 18 countries in Asia to cultivate a vision of a just, equal, and democratic region in which women, girls, trans*, and intersex people’s human rights are irrevocable. WFA is steeped in feminist values and a rights-based approach that enables increased access to long-term, flexible resources at the local, national, and regional levels. As a feminist fund, WFA sees its role as going beyond grantmaking to include linking and learning. By claiming resources for feminist movements, WFA plays a critical role in strengthening the feminist funding ecosystem in the Asia and Pacific region. WFA used the grant to define a three-year strategy and support their leadership.
