Established in 2018 in response to the growing backlash against women’s rights in Poland, the Feminist Fund (FemFund) is the only grantmaking organization in Poland that focuses on feminist philanthropy. FemFund resources the feminist movement so that women’s rights activists can continue to work in their full power while remaining resilient and effective in driving systemic change. Fenomenal Funds supported FemFund to navigate the impacts of the global health and economic emergencies that resulted from COVID-19. The grant covered staff salaries to keep the team motivated as they faced increasing demands from feminist activists. FemFund also purchased a vehicle that allowed the team to travel around the country to meet with and be in solidarity with their movement partners.
